No matter who you are there is something for everyone to do in Brazil. If you are a retiree then there is plenty of time to take up numerous water sports or just have a laid back life style. Here are a few tips on how to enjoy yourself in Brazil. There are three  good ways to enjoy Brazil either go for the out-door life or become a beach bum or live for the awesome night-life that many locals and tourists love to enjoy. Many younger immigrants usually find they can a good income from either developing a travel/excursion business, real estate, construction, open up a restaurant, night-club, bar etc. Here are some of more outdoor activities that one can enjoy in Brazil.

The Amazon River – It is the largest river in the world by volume, with a total river flow greater than the next top ten largest rivers flowing into the ocean combined. Other than that, it also has the largest drainage basin in the world, accounts for approximately 1/5 of the world's total river flow. The river has over 3,000 recognized species of fish, and is quite a haven for fishlovers. Some estimates go as high as 5,000.

  • Beautiful waterfalls are an awesome feature to many of the remote beaches in Brazil and some of the bigger ones are popular tourist destination.
  • Brazilian Coffee is drunk all over the world and Brazil the world’s largest coffee producer- Santos Brazil is the most traditional brand.
  • Salvador, was the first colonial capital of Brazil and is thought to be oldest in the country. It is situated on the northeast coast of Brazil in the state of Bahia.
  • If you are into Scuba Diving then the south coast of Brazil is the best for this. It is only 2 hours drive from Rio and be prepared for the amazing marine life of turtles, sea-horses, moray eels, colourful corals and many varieties of tropical fish. For approximately $200, one can take a tour including scuba equipment, bilingual guide, and boat operation for up to 10 hours.
  • If fishing is your game then fishing for peacock bass is ideal in Northern Brazil. The peacock bass is legendary in its explosive top-water strikes and bullish runs. In a class of its own, the peacock bass is one of the hardest hitting and most aggressive sport-fish---plentiful in the Amazon. The Amazon offers fishers a haven of fish life that makes fishing fun and exciting.
  • For the fit, trekking- One of the most traditional backpacking trails in Brazil, a 36 kilometres (22 miles) cross linking the two Brazilian imperial towns of Petropolis and Persepolis. The crossing takes 2 to 4 days, hiking through valleys, ridges and mountaintops where Atlantic rainforest vegetation is exuberant and pristine. It is located just 100 km off Rio.
  • Water Rafting is those who are exuberant and wanting a great adrenaline rush down the wild rapids

    Rafting - Hold on tight and experience a great adrenaline rush: rafting down the wild rapids of the Paraibuna River! The Paraibuna is located in Três Rios city, 2 hours from Rio de Janeiro by car. The Paraibuna is also a full 20 km (14 miles) of level three and four rapids so bring a change of clothes! For as little as 100$ you can enjoy up to three hours of great adventure.
  • Amazonia National Park is a massive park covering almost 40% of Brazil's landmass including seven of Brazil's 27 states. Every year thousands of people, flock to the park to enjoy the natural splendour of this magnificent creation. You can go bird watching here. A journey into the Amazon rainforest can be an experience of a lifetime!
